Both funny and sad.
Some years ago while visiting NZ, walked along the lakeside ( I can't remember what lake) at a tourist attraction. a mother duck and about 5 ducklings were systematically swimming up to each group of picnickers, looking cute, begging for food. When they got some , they would jump back in the lake, and paddle out to the next picnic blanket. amazing.

I've been watching some videos of this man who is looking after eight baby foster kittens and their mother. The way he talks to them and cares for them is just adorable.:smilecat:

Last thing that made me smile was looking out at the front yard and seeing that most of the snow was gone. The grass is starting to turn green. All the roads are clear of ice and snow so I won't have to worry about getting the car stuck when I go to town. It is looking more and more like Spring every day.
