My boyfriend is threatening to dump me because of me getting medical guardianship. Is that reasonable?

Why didnt he adopt a kid?
He passed away from a brain tumour, his kid now has own family He told me parts of what happened on death bed in hospital. Only his brother and us visited him. He told me he forgave his girlfriend before he passed. Not so for sister and mother, Yes there is blowback, same sister put other brother in home few weeks ago, Not sure if he can afford,

The bottom line many NT's think we are incapable of being parents. My buddy was gainfully employed sewing machine mechanic, would have made good single dad I raised two sons with my wife, brother two boys and a daughter with his wife, sister three boys with her Autistic husband.
Some autistic people can handle parenthood...
And some can't...
I can't and have never wanted to, which is very fortunate for me personally.

Life without children is much less stressful in terms of mental energy, but also in regard to finances.
The only reason I am financially secure to an enormous degree is due to being single.
Estimates are that raising a child from the glint in its father's eye until age 18 is around $200,000 or more.

When I was younger, my reasoning went like this:
-Children cost a small fortune.
-Buying investment houses will make me a small fortune.

I was able to retire @ age 50.

That's what my SO told me, that he doesn't feel that he wants to have a kid, because he doesn't want for the kid to go through abuse he went because he is ASD.
Being autistic isn't an easy life choice. <sic>

I have been involved with various autistic communities for over 30 years.
Spot the autistic who doesn't have PTSD.
You would be hard-pressed, and these are the autistic individuals who are capable of online interaction.

My buddy and his girlfriend had an unplanned pregnancy, his mother, sister, and girlfriend took away his choice to be a father, his girlfriend made a unilateral choice. When he figured out what was going on he dissolved the relationship. If any of us had know we were on the spectrum who knows. If his girlfriend had confided with him she would not be capable of being a mother, things could have been different. They took away his choice, a life changing event to him. The women in his life all thought they were doing the right thing.
