    Bipolar and AS

Daily cleansing of all negative emotions greatly weakens all the negative symptoms for me. Exercise when I am too energetic/restless, using music or other positive triggers to satisfy and release the built up emotions. Avoiding all negative stress as best possible and carefully monitoring my...

    Bipolar and AS

I would explain this way for me the AS is always present since it is how we are wired as it were but the bipolar (rapid cycling in my case) acts as a volume knob either increasing or decreasing the natural AS. In a euphoric happy mood I can almost completely overcome the AS becoming extremely...

    Do You Ever Wonder...

We see ourselves in them but since they never hide their true selves we can deeply relate. I feel like my issues are a great gift since I live without almost inner barriers to my thoughts and feelings (total freedom). If I had to choose which animal best reflects me it absolutely would be a...

    Dress Code

I don't care for dress codes for the most part but some examples that are appropriate are: wearing a shirt (any) when entering a store especially where food is served as this is a health code violation. No bath robes, lingerie or bikinis in a store either that is just in really poor taste! I...

How are you listening to your music ?

It was a lot of fun to build taking all summer to come up with enough allowance money to buy all the parts and make them a work of art. From poly coating them 4 times to fitting everything together to create the air tight seal. Even the inside had to be visually appealing right down to the 12...

How are you listening to your music ?

Whenever the day comes I can have my own little wood shop I want to recreate these speakers I built without any help when I was 12 yrs old hopefully with someone to pass down the skills to. I also want to make 2-4 of the much larger 15" woofer version. The original specs (8" version) were...

Living with aspergers and rapid cycle bipolar

Imagine having moods that change every 2-4 hrs so 4-6 times daily. The moods create heavenly ecstasy, severe to moderate depression, anxiety, severe tiredness, deep brain fog, irritability and so much more in any imaginable combination. Days off make it much easier since you can let it flow without...

"Whats wrong? Why are you so quiet?"

I always find that assumption of shy and timid almost infuriating. When I choose to be (mood dependent) I am actually much more brave socially and on a whole than my friends NT or aspie. I don't know the meaning of the word shy if I want to have or do something I go for it full throttle!

How to deal with people who do not fullfill promises

It has always been a matter of true honor for me I simply will not ever make a promise I can't keep! I prefer blunt honesty

"I understand you're autistic... [3 minutes later] ... now why are you ___."

I am very proud to say while I worked at the last store people voted it the cleanest Kangaroo in Gainesville!:)

"I understand you're autistic... [3 minutes later] ... now why are you ___."

Unless they are in authority I just let them rant and utterly ignore it. Having a emotionless vulcan attitude at work is a real blessing I am praised for the doing great work while avoiding all bull @#$%. Most mangers like this as I get more done without distraction than almost all my peers.

"I understand you're autistic... [3 minutes later] ... now why are you ___."

I get very annoyed when others get upset about any aspie behavior I may show. Especially when they think it is making excuses:mad: This is most upsetting at work!

I understand what you mean. I naturally have more patience and understanding to those who have autism or other issues. So you would think someone who claims to understand would also
