Publishing

Having someone telling me publishing odds is not why I write blog posts and only infuriates me even more. I know that there are a lot of things that are brutal about this world today. I don't even give a damned if I SELL my book, I might just make it visible to the public right where it sits on the online writing "program" that I have found. I just want my story out there, free or not. The person that "gave me an earful" with the ODDS I am against in trying to publish my book has now been ignored and will not be un-ignored ever again. I am not here to "listen" to that bullsh!t. If I feel this much better, putting my thoughts down into words, I am going to continue it. I have never had ANYTHING help me more with "organizing" my thoughts in order to make sense of what happened to me, and MAYBE retrieve some of my childhood, than writing it down in a book, from beginning to end, in excruciating detail, just to get it OUT OF MY HEAD! Again, I don't give a f#ck if I actually sell my book. I just want it viewable to the world, and I will post a link to it everywhere I can, just to get it out there, FREE for everyone to read.

Are you familiar with Smashwords.com? It is a free publishing platform. Once you have finished writing your book you format it and upload it and then it is available just about everywhere except Amazon. You can charge for the book or make it free - whatever you want to do.

I agree - don't listen to the people who want to tell you the Odds - that is not why you are writing.

Good Luck

Thank you Dawn for the information, I will definitely check out that website, I had not heard of it yet so thank you so much.

From what l understand that is norm. So many famous authors were rejected many times before finally get acceptance but today we have options to get our stories out there!
So not sure why that poster decided to tell you that, kinda of silly.
