Chainsaw clutch removal wrench.
A special tool is required to pull the clutch assembly from a Poulan chainsaw in order to replace the automatic bar oiling pump.
No sense in ordering one and waiting for it when I can just make my own in my shop, so that is how my day began.
View attachment 61349 Split pins were used for the drivers, and were adjusted for proper length after installation.
The bore in the wrench was slip fitted with a .002" clearance over the crankshaft end that pilots the tool.
The pin centers were held at .005" clearance spacing over the engagement areas on the clutch.

A junk socket was press fitted in place to provide a square drive for a wrench.
I used a 3/8" to hex adapter on my cordless screw impact tool to spin the clutch assembly off the crankshaft end.

The new pump was just $26 and I have about an hour wrapped up in making the tool, which in turn saved the saw that was otherwise useless as it was.
