Fitness thread--what was your workout today?

Sitting upright pulling the wheelie bin out from behind another and pulling to the street getting up to let the cat in and out climbing the stairs, talking I'm very slightly rested

30 minutes on the stationary bike. Made it a little more intense by increasing the resistance every 5 minutes. Might do some more cardio tonight.

I woke up way too early today, so I decided to start the day with a workout. An hour of strength training, fun times!

A walk, a few sets of push-ups, some leg work.
I need to up my game with the leg work.

Here is a quote from Dr. Maffetone, (of Maffetone method).

“… the media (and governments) all went along for the ride, twisting the truth while increasingly poor health left the world’s population ripe for an infectious pandemic.
Not only in America, where 91 percent of adults are overfat, but countries like India too, with a rate of 80 percent overfat thanks to junk food.

The two pandemics are a perfect one-two punch.

Just as Big Tobacco’s products directly cause devastating diseases, Big Junk Food is clearly responsible for the global overfat/chronic illness connection, and the vulnerability to Covid-19.

…they make it easy: Sugar and other junk food is extremely cheap, accessible everywhere, heavily marketed to all age groups (their ads are called food porn), highly addictive and the U.S. and other governments subsidize it.

All this makes me feel ashamed to live in a land where justice is a game. The preventable and predictable loss of lives from junk food is in the billions. And the guilty go free.”

45 minutes of dancing, followed by some foam roller massage for the hamstrings and a relaxing session on my acupressure mat.

I was supposed to have a rest day today, but it was a very stressful day with a meltdown in the afternoon, so I did 30 minutes of shadowboxing followed by 15 minutes of yoga stretches to get rid of the frustrated energy. Hope my legs don’t hate me tomorrow.

55 minutes on the bike. I skipped everything in Core work except plank.
Roller (ow) for the sore hams.
I’m really tired of cold weather, maybe nuts/mad.
A new playlist is needed.

Started the morning with 30 minutes of walking at a leisurely pace.
This evening I did 30 minutes of strength training and 30 minutes of dancing.

An hour of strength training this morning. My knee is acting up a little, hoping it will be better tomorrow
