There's a guy i used to know read perfect hungarian outloud..

He learn the phonetics,pronunciations etc

Didn't understand a word of it.

A practical use of his time :)
 
He definitely sounds like he could be autistic! Unfortunately a lot of people are misinformed and would take offence if you raised it which is probably why he did. Still, it's great that you're trying to connect with him better!
