Do Aspies Have A Sense of Humor?

Oh, I don't watch commercials, and that's not a brand that is available in the country where I live anyway. No way I could have known that.
Call me a wierdo, but I have come to regard commercials(I disregard the commercialism), at least the intelligent ones, as an art form.

Admittedly, one or two that I've seen have been quite witty and well-made, but most (where I live) are a real trigger for me - loud, shrill, over-excited voices talking to you like you were 2 years old... not a fan!

I have a sense of humour which, obviously, amuses myself. It sometimes provokes laughter in others, but for the most part this is audience of one type stuff.

I also find things funny that are not intended to be funny and others don't seem to see the joke in. A lot of this revolves around the ridiculous things people tend to value in society. For example, I find human behavior in regards to status symbols quite funny in the absolute pettiness of mostly all of it. I find the attraction to gold, for anything other than a conductor of electricity, to be satirical of the human race. This, however, is considered one of the most innate and normal of human desires. Or diamonds...........I don't see how anyone can miss the humour in the TV telling them that forever love will only cost you two months salary; two months.........

I once installed, side by side, an Onan transfer switch, and a Siemens electrical panel.
When I finished, and saw them together, I literally SNOTTED, and GIGGLED and broke into that gleeful, demented scientist laugh.
(Which didn't do much for my reputation on THAT jobsite, I can tell you...)

I apologize for posting without reading the whole thread through first, but saw the title and burst out laughing. I can't not post.

Sometimes I don't think jokes that most people laugh at are funny, and often most people don't get mine but those that do are sometimes keen to assure others that it really was funny. Some are only funny to me, I can usually anticipate this and keep them to myself.

I can be fairly funny in the eyes of others (most of the room), they laugh with me. Not that I'm never laughed at. It's been said to me that my sense of humour is unusual, and that often they have to think for a second before they get it, but then it's hilarious. I certainly can't hold court with jokes, but chip in once in a while or insert jokes into an otherwise relatively serious conversation.

I'm fairly punny too. See what I did there?

Yes. 1 out of every 68.

I believe so. It just differs from one to the next. I've found it difficult to watch movies with others because my humor is different to a lot of people. Most comedies I just find stupid. I don't get into social media much. I don't like most of what's on there. I get em, just don't think they're funny. I don't like telling jokes or listening to them. I like them in context with something happening.
