  • I keep laughing when finding your posts! :)

My husband wants to know if you're British and if so, what your thoughts on Brexit are. He's got British parents...

I'm american but very mixed ancestory like many, including Irish/English/Scottish on one side and Italian/Sicilian/North African/Arab/Greek and Balkan on the other! I do relate to English humor in particular however. :D

On Brexit, I'm not involved enough to know all the aspects, but from a distance I thought it unfortunate in the sense I am leary of increased nationalism in general.

That is such an interesting mix of cultures in your ancestry! I'm just German and Italian background, my husband British and Irish. We feel the same re nationalism and British comedy - you know, except the really immature stuff. But Python, Black Books, Mr Bean, The Sketch Show, The Goodies, Not The Nine O'Clock News, Bill Bailey, etc - and Ireland's Dave Allen - things like that, we like.
That Wibbleton/Wobbleton thing makes me smile every time I see it, even though I don't have the context! :)

It's an old English lap rhyme. :)

I love words like this and fun rhymes. My husband and I both, as children, read Roget's Thesaurus and were much amused by it, and the "software expansion" it provided. Modern vocabularies are so impoverished, and words can be so much fun... :)

..oh and your King Harold comment also makes me laugh - talk about perspective... :)
Years ago I had a frog who “sang” like you described. He lived only for 2 yrs though. I still miss him.
Happy Birthday Tom, and many more.

Oh, would never knowingly pass up a chance to say happy birthday to Tom. May your days be many and donuts be plenty.
Big Black Bear just sauntered so casual accross my front yard. Chihuahuas losing their minds in the house. :D
I really should make sure I have had my coffee before reading some of the posts.
Never come between a Chihuahua and their treat.

I wasn't bit. They are just funny in how protective they are of food. All dogs really.
I don't think unhappy souls wander the earth or haunt residences. I think they inhabit rolls of Cling Wrap.
I know I am getting old because the first thing I normally look forward to when waking up in the morning is my first nap. :D

I had a doctor appt one afternoon and the nurse asked what I'd been doing that day. I (truthfully) said, "well, I woke up and took a nap."
