You know you are autistic if -

When you just have to sit in a public place, you must weigh the pros and cons of sitting with your back to the public area or your back to the wall.

The friend your with starts talking to someone in a store and you continue shopping and moving on. But they are not surprised because you tend to wander off by yourself anyway.

You find you go outside more readily during gloomy weather... because all the people shut up and went inside. "Its finally quiet out here!"
I agree with this.
Going outside very early in the morning or late in the evening/at night is usually great in general, too, regardless of the weather (unless it's a warm summer evening when lots of people are outside in their gardens etc.).

- when you notice small details others don't seem to notice and you need to go fix it/pick it up and others look at you as if you're a lunatic for doing so (usually in the middle of their conversation because you'd lost interest). For example - a crooked/misplaced book on the shelf or a small fallen item.

When you live 10 miles outside a very small city so you can nature walk through the woods at night and are less scared of the dangerous critters (Cougars, Skunks, Rattle Snakes etc.) you might come across than you are having to deal with idiots.

When you keep a log of all the scam and hoax calls and the times and dates they call for months. Looking for patterns, and don't answer the phone during those days of the week at those times.

Also, when you are horrified because the mug or cup of coffee they bring you isn't filled right up to the correct place.

Today, our company had a department offsite meeting and lunch. I quickly noticed that they had seating for 100 for the presentation, seating for 96 for the luncheon, and 87 water glasses. Why, people, why?

You know you are if you caculate the quickest way in and out of the grocery store so you can avoid (zombie human race) . Actually, l have gotten better at this now, but sometimes l pull a speedy Gonzalez (no offense Mr. Gonzalez whoever that is), fly in and out in just 10 mins.

If you're anything like me, you know you are autistic if you have no filter whatsoever and don't know what you said wrong even when you're called out for it.
