Can I get a "Bright not Broken"?
In this thread, we post random, interesting, possibly useful facts. I'll start off.

In 1927, Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs, more than any other team in the American League.

I think I would have rather be beamed up to just about anywhere than to be on that beach on that day.

British actor Richard Todd once played the role of Major John Howard in "The Longest Day", who attacked and held the Pegasus Bridge near Caen, the night before the D-Day landings in France. With his character periodically thinking, "Hold until relieved. Hold until relieved."

The real Major John Howard did hold that bridge until he was relieved. He was relieved by a British parachute officer, Captain Richard Todd. Yes- that Richard Todd. Who resumed his acting career after the war. Talk about great casting! Though yes, Audie Murphy did play himself in "To Hell and Back".

Arthropods comprise of Arachnids, Insects, Crustaceans, and Myriapods (Millipedes, Centipedes etc.)
They are grouped together as Arthropod because of their exoskeleton, segmented body, and jointed appendages. Many are surprised to hear that spiders, scorpions, millipedes, centipedes, aren't considered insects.

Many silent letters in English are the result of the language borrowing from others like French and Latin to make the words sound more fancy.
Some others are the result of age and it just became (such as any words starting with "kn" and "gn" )

Canadians use the poop emoji more than any other country. Americans use food emojis more than anyone. And middle eastern countries use the Rose more than anyone else.

Frank Dillane, (Nick in "Fear of the Walking Dead") was also the actor who played Tom Riddle as a child in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".

How many taste buds do catfish have?

That's because this creature has taste buds not only in its mouth, but all over its body. Catfish (order Siluriformes), those beady-eyed fish named for their feline-like whiskers, typically have more than 100,000 taste buds. Some large catfish can have as many as 175,000.

The Privet Drive scenes in the Harry Potter films were shot at Picket Post Close in Bracknell, Berkshire.
