"Everyone is trying to get to the bar
The name of the bar, the bar is called Heaven
The band in Heaven, they play my favorite song
They play it once again, they play it all night long

Heaven (Heaven) is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens
Heaven (Heaven)
Heaven is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens

There is a party, everyone is there
Everyone will leave at exactly the same time
It's hard to imagine that nothing at all
Could be so exciting, could be so much fun

Yeah, Heaven
Heaven is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens
Yeah, Heaven
Heaven is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens

When this kiss is over, it will start again
It will not be any different, it will be exactly the same
It's hard to imagine that nothing at all
Could be so exciting, could be this much fun

Heaven (Heaven) is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens
Heaven
Heaven is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens"

Throughout the years I've heard a lot of people talking about how Kettel really cools down their autism meltdowns, or just feels good on their brain and I completely agree. Most IDM (intelligent dance music) is kind of like that to me for some reason, and it seems to be a common theme with others!

Also (sorry for posting so much here) an autistic friend recommended Gareth Clarke to me like 10 years ago and I could tell immediately that this was good 'stim' material for my brain. Maybe others will feel the same?

Previous song got removed as it isn’t exactly *pg 13* due to mild language use.

lemme try to find something else.. great thread though

What a great playlist everyone! I’m going to put all these songs into a spotify playlist and chill out/stim out depending which comes song on.

A sad one pertaining to love…

A happy one pertaining to my realization of autism and new understanding…

^That's cool! I was obsessed with the Flaming Lips in high school, especially Clouds Taste Metallic. I saw them live in 2006, which was really fun.

For real. Scatman John (1942-1999) led a very interesting life. He used to be a stutterer and was bullied a lot at school so had shattered confidence for most of his life. He had a big interest in jazz, but didn't get into singing till late in life as he had huge stage fright. He was an optimistic pacifist and by all accounts very kind and thoughtful. I have wondered if he is on the spectrum, though ultimately it doesn't matter. I like how optimistic his songs are, though they also have an important message (even they sound cheesy now).

Everybody stutters one way or the other
So check out my message to you
As a matter of fact, I don't let nothin' hold you back
If the Scatman can do it, so can you

Everybody's sayin' that the Scatman stutters
But doesn't ever stutter when he sings
But what you don't know I'm gonna tell you right now
That the stutter and the scat is the same thing to you
I'm the Scatman
Where's the Scatman?
I'm the Scatman

Why should we be pleasin' any politician heathens
Who would try to change the seasons if they could?
The state of the condition insults my intuition
And it only makes me crazy and a heart like wood

Everybody stutters one way or the other
So check out my message to you
As a matter of fact, don't let nothin' hold you back
If the Scatman can do it, brother, so can you
I'm the Scatman

I hear you all ask 'bout the meaning of scat
Well, I'm the professor and all I can tell you is
While you're still sleepin', the saints are still weepin' 'cause
Things you call dead haven't yet had the chance to be born
I'm the Scatman

I feel like his views are really crystallized in Scatman's world which has very powerful (if blunt) lyrics.

I'm calling out from Scatland
I'm calling out from Scatman's World
If you wanna break free, you better listen to me
You've got to learn how to see in your fantasy

Everybody's talkin' something very shockin'
Just to keep on blockin' what they're feeling inside
But listen to me, brother, you just keep on walkin'
'Cause you and me and sister ain't got nothing to hide
Scatman, fat man, black and white and brown man
Tell me 'bout the color of your soul
If part of your solution isn't ending the pollution
Then I don't want to hear your stories told
I want to welcome you to Scatman's World

Everybody's born to compete as he chooses
But how can someone win if winning means that someone loses?
I sit and see and wonder what it's like to be in touch
No wonder all my brothers and my sisters need a crutch
I want to be a human being, not a human doing
I couldn't keep that pace up if I tried
The source of my intention really isn't crime prevention
My intention is prevention of the lie, yeah
Welcome to that Scatman's World
