    What do you think

I just realised that this sounds like a 19th century eugenics manual. "the negro may protest his captivity, and even try to escape. It is not until he is alone that he realises that he is dependent on the white man's instruction." That's just what it sounded like to me.

Ever Feel Like Everyone Hates You?

I'm not saying this as a cry for help, I realise it's just my mind telling me things are worse than they are. Sometimes I feel like all my NT friends and anyone I interact with just wants me to leave them alone, like my existence is a nuisance. I feel like no one wants to talk to me, and even...

Anyone else here who tells blatant lies for the sake of it?

It's way past that point. I'm so used to getting caught lying that I just respond with, "yeah, sorry, I lied" which is usually enough considering how unimportant my lies are.

    What do you think

I just kept thinking, wow, are we really that bad? She made it sound as if it were impossible to live with an aspie. Like we are secret emotion vampires or something.

Anyone else here who tells blatant lies for the sake of it?

I do it. I'm not sure why. I never lie about important stuff, just little things, for no reason at all.

What the heck is an autistic look?

I think there is something different about the way aspies move our eyes that NTs see as different. I feel like I can tell in some cases, even from pictures, and for some reason I find aspie women more attractive on average.

    Is knowing making it worse?

When my psychiatrist first suggested I had Asperger's, I was relieved. I felt like I had an explanation for all of the things that were wrong in my life. Before, I really thought I was just a jerk, and lacked social skills for one reason or another. Now I feel trapped. I feel as though having...

    Unnecessary Time Qualifiers

Well sometimes NTs "really don't know" that can mean a few things. "I don't know" can mean even more things. It can mean they don't want to go into detail, or that they are somewhat exhausted by a line of thinking or a conversation.

    Unnecessary Time Qualifiers

Does it bother anyone else when people use words like today, this evening, or tonight in sentences when it just isn't necessary? Like cops say, "do you know why I pulled you over today?"

    Faking it

I know we all do it, as aspies we construct this NT suit that convincingly fills the gaps between Asperger's and normalcy. Mine is so huge it has, to some extent, become fused with my real self so it's hard to tell what's real and what's fake. I function as almost completely NT, and no one who...

    Food

I'm I just realised I do almost exactly the same thing. That's interesting.

    Flat footed?

How many other aspies are flat footed? I know some aspies have physical similarities. I just wonder if this is one of them.

    AspieCon? - Would you go?

I think it would be nice if the UK, US, and Australia each had an Aspie Con. Certain food vendors would make a killing at such a convention. Also, I'm sure there quite a few musical artists, famous folks who have Asperger's. It might be difficult to deal with the social aspect, but maybe a...

    Who do I talk to?

I started with a behavioural therapist who thought I had bipolar disorder. I have seen a psychiatrist twice, the one who diagnosed me with Asperger's. Though, I feel like I'm wasting my psychiatrist's time just going and chit chatting with him about my obvious but somewhat resolved disorder. I...

    Food

I also eat only meat and cheese on my sanswitches, and I really don't like crust, but I deal with it. I also hate the crust on pop tarts.
