what would an aspie world look like?

Lucky you!!! We got clocked at 17mph over the speed limit last November in Darien GA. The cop is someone we now refer to as the giant baby of Darien GA because he looked exactly like a 6 month old baby. He was all peachy with no hair, a chubby rounded face & body, a pink pouting mouth & bright baby blue eyes. It was really off-putting! Like a 5'6" armed baby with a badge. We were fined $250 in total! OUCH!

I never saw that movie, Grubby: what do you mean?
It's a movie where no one in the world could lie. Instead everyone said exactly what was on their minds.

I kind of wish the actual world was like that.

I have seen that movie. It's basically about a world where everyone tells the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and thinks aloud. Hence, there are no works of fiction - all movies are just a man doing a reading of a true story, because being an actor is lying.

I agree that it would be like that in terms of the honesty, but there wouldn't be so much internal dialogue, and it wouldn't be that extreme. There would be works of fiction, as aspies can still have fantastic imaginations.

Honesty though is different then fiction. I don't think I could be in a world without fiction. I love fantasy. I live in a fantastical world. I would prefer people to be more consistent but honestly an Aspie world would be not much unlike the one we are in we still have to negotiate between each other and we are all different so it would be much the same.

Aspie online newspaper headline: Planned Obsolescence: Obsolete! Manufacturers have changed their business practices & shall henceforth design products intended to endure. Any accidentally broken or defective parts will be readily repairable or replaceable. All product will be made of environmentally friendly materials & designed for maximum energy efficiency.

Aspies I agree can theoretically screw up. I seem to recall in Socrate's ideal society some would be sent to camps to be reprogrammed or something like that.
Personally I always feel like I have a yan and yang side. The dark side is so impatient to see a lot of wrongs being instantly put right, the net result is anger and conflict. The other side I think is stronger so I guess I know that tolerance and ethics ought to be a priority for aspies and neurotips alike.
Maybe aspies got things done because of a neurotypical world.

The thing I feel with aspies is that even though we all have the same disorder (let's just keep it at this for simplicity), we don't all have equal ways of doing things. Some aspies tend to go more of a sociopath route, some of us are more "held back" because of inhibitions and some will actually want to get stuff done. And similarly some aspies like to do drugs, drink and enjoy "illegal" activities. I don't know if that's something that goes along with asperger's, but to put it this way... there are bad people, even among aspies.

I'm quite sure that there would be less of a social drama going on with aspies in general, but even aspies tend to disagree rather violently (even if it's just in terms of arguments and "wordfights") sometimes.

Also; "In an ideal world"... in an ideal world employment rates would be different, social services would be different, maybe even technological progress would be different. It's hard to how it all pans out. I'm quite sure that if you'd put it like "Imagine everyone would be an aspie right now"... a lot of laws still would not make sense globally. And if those laws weren't there since aspies were there since the beginning of time, then the cookie might have crumbled a totally different way. Perhaps the "first aspie" got set in motion BECAUSE of a NT world.

I used to love Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef; now, I can't stand them. I've learned how faked it all is, and I simply can't believe any of it. Apparently other people can watch them by fooling themselves into believing it or something, but I have no idea how to do that.

Im ready to move there right now!

if aspies ruled the world..... it wouldn't be that bad would it?

I guess if there was only aspies on the world, there wouldn't exist even countries. The world would be just the world, with different cities, because patriotism is based on the feeling of "belonging to that place or that group".

My thoughts exactly, but I did't want to say it! No countries, no war. If a group of aspies were suffering, everyone else would help them. To me, a lot of the suffering is caused by the NT's having the vast majority

Does that sound wrong? I don't like sweeping statements in general(!!)

Absolutely. If countries subscribe to values that are inherently filmsy, why would there be countries?

I'd gladly listen to bossa nova, sip into English tea, have some Japanese-style red paste buns... and live in a Spanish-style ranch house I built with friends. :)

Reality tv is very ironically named - so much of the reality is sensationalised and butchered in the editing. I think aspies wouldn't need those fairytale archetypes and narrative structures - the despicable villain who nearly wins, but doesn't because the underdog who seems an unlikely winner just manages to pull through with the support of a few mildly talented, morally perfect helpers - and would have the mental pro-activity to comprehend the reality.

And yes, people would mix and match cultures, because the emphasis would be on the individual, not the group. It wouldn't be assumed that I'm a sports enthusiast just because I'm Australian.

And there'd be no such thing as a stupid question. No "omg, how could you not know about - insert an arbitrary fad - have you been living under a rock lately" No, I haven't, I've been partaking in some of the millions of activities other than reading gossip magazines.

That happened to me, Christian T: back when Justin Bieber had just hit the scene, someone casually mentioned him to me & I registered a complete blank. "HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW WHO HE IS?!? HE'S SOOOO HOT!!!" a teeny bopper fan magazine was thrust at me featuring a chubby cheeked androgynous kid on the cover. I must say, it was a big to-do over nothing!

In Aspie land, bureaucratic red tape would cease to exist! Once you'd filled in an essential (clear & short) form for this or that, you would NOT receive 15 more forms in the mail to fill out, all requesting the same information!!! All careers requiring a uniform would ensure that said uniform contained no itchy irritating fibres that do not breathe, no tags, irritating seams, ridiculous patterns or colours. They would fit the intended wearer never pulling or pinching. Zippers wouldn't catch. button holes or the spaces between buttons would never gape & no Aspie would be made to look or feel conspicuous in any way.

Restaurants would be Aspie friendly. No table or booth would be placed so close to another that people would bump into you or brush against you. Lighting would be sufficient to read the menu & see your food BUT not enough to reflect off of the silverware & blind you! Food options would be Aspie friendly. Want all your food separated so your peas don't roll into your mashed potatoes rendering them a lumpy mess? NO PROBLEM! Want exactly 7 carrot sticks, 3 celery sticks & 1 boneless chicken breast? NO PROBLEM! You would have a no waiter option where you could simply click on what you want & how you want it, click SEND & the chef would get it ready. Quickly. Then, you could use a convenient wheelie cart (that does NOT squeak or rattle) to go get your food & wheel it back to your table. No unnecessary human contact & chatter necessary!

Documentary shows will be prime-time material, whereas very few reality TV shows are produced in the Aspie world.

I don't see the point of sensational materials. After all, as an Aspie, I am not really good in catching the drama of people and things.

In Aspie world, public noise/nuisance ordinances would be enforced. No hoards of loud Barbarians shoving & jostling each other in places like bus stations, metro stations or the airport would be allowed. The process of using public transportation would be as follows: arrive in time, present pass or ticket or cash payment, go sit down keeping all bags & crap out of other people's way, ride to destination without chatter or other fanfare involving people who are not into chatting with you, when nearing destination move unobtrusively towards the exit, leave & go home. EASY!

Well, NTs have had a roughly 15,000 year turn at running the world & they've clearly run it off into the ditch. We deserve a shot at running things or at least a 50/50 share in the process. We ND types comprise a huge portion of the population & we have many good ideas to share. Any Aspie World suggestions to add in?
