what things that you do are unique to you?

I had trouble wording this question, despite the simplicity. You don't have to be the only one in the world that does what you might be thinking of, it just has to be rare enough to be noteworthy.

I have a tennis ball underneath my blankets, I use my feet to push it around to stim when I am laying in bed, which is a lot of the time. I do have to fight my dog over it sometimes since he sleeps on my bed, and slobbery tennis balls under my bed sheets is not that nice.

Uptil I was 40, I sucked my thumb and I am now 48 ( sadly) and wonder how on earth I ever got around to starting sucking my thumb, because the idea is just too weird and yet, before I stopped, I could never imagining not sucking my thumb.

I used an old pillow case cover as my soother and would get into a panic if I could not find it and often, hubby would say: hey, are you looking for this? He was quite used to me cuddling up with him and my thumb in my mouth.

I'm an Aspie Christian. I think there are something like 36 of us in the entire universe. ;)
I'm not one (not practising) but I think that you'll find that there are quite a few around.

I don't think that I'm the only one, I think there might be some - it would be extremely hard to find something that would literally be unique to me (except my finger print, iris and DNA), but:

I'm female, but I don't have a handbag. Not a single one. I don't do handbags, I have clothes with pockets.
I don't own any makeup, either.

I almost always have nuts, bolts, washers and other pieces small hardware in my pockets. When I am not doing something with my hands, I fiddle around with the hardware.

I'm really not sure if my lack of jealousy or envy is unique.

I can only say that it's a trait I have yet to find in another human being, regardless of neurological considerations. At times it serves me to live within my means, and at other times it confuses people close to me.

THis was hard for me. I do a lot of things uniquely. I think the one now that stands out is I memorize Homer. It WAS done a lot, but not now. truly, I do not think there is another person doing it now............SAD!!!!!!!

Other than that, I chew about 500 pieces of gum a day. I go crzy if I d not have it. Literally batHHTT*** crazy. Don't come around.................it hurts a lot and cramps and alll, but I gotta do it. Don't know why.

I also do othings like a guy. I did 135 pullups once in 1 1/2 hours. That was weird.

Hmmm........not sure what else, but I LOVE this thread. It's very fun. @Voltaic - you have such interesting posts!!! You are unique, indeed.

I think I "think" more than most "normal" people... Of course I have no idea if this is true, nor do I have a way to prove it, but here is an example: I observe people and the thoughts they are acting on. For instance raving about how many commercials are on TV, or that they feel someone got more of something than they did, or they consume themselves in conversations concerning other peoples business that has nothing to do with them...

I will notice this and USE it to turn my own thoughts to... How can I better my LIFE? How can I not waste my thoughts on pointless chatter? How can I use my thoughts to be more aware of who I am?

I have this near fear of dying to be found to have wasted my LIFE... Its maybe one of my deepest driving forces, yet I have no idea how to use it to do any better than anyone else. I may not even use what I have as good as anyone else.

I get so consumed in thoughts that I just get lost. Its nothing to brag about actually, so please don't think I am ever putting myself above anyone. Its just something I notice a lot. Maybe everyone does and they just ignore it, where as I don't and probably should.

This is a difficult one for me that makes me think.
The logical part says there is nothing unique that someone else doesn't do somewhere in the world.

The best answer I know of is being ME.
No one else can do that.

I also always go barefoot unless I am in a public place, or during the freezing winter. During the summer, I might as well have hooves lol. Gives me tough feet and makes me even more aware of my surroundings. I also like the way grass feels on my feet.

My thought processes.
My upbringing.
Who I am.

Having not yet found a cotton bed sheet robust yet comfortable enough to withstand the amount of wear they receive on moving my feet in order to fall asleep.
I'm still searching.

I go barefoot in the house in summer, but not outside - I have really sensitive feet.

I always wear shorts and a polo shirt, or loose tee shirt (and a hoody when needed) unless it is crazy cold and snowing, and even then inside I am in my shorts. I dislike pants with a passion. I have 1 pair of dress pants, a couple pair of Levis 501, and a couple of pair of Cinch jeans that mostly never get worn.

The joke is at work Chance will be in shorts until ice forms on his leg hairs... and then he will probably still be in shorts. Luckily my job is sports related so the shorts thing isn't a big deal. I used to dress up for the Board Meetings but overtime I just be me, and they have never said anything so I roll with it.

I also like to go barefoot as much as I can. Basically like Bam Bam Flintstone. I'm a half Canadian cave Aspie with a deep dirty South redneck influence. Sad really... That makes me pretty unique in itself I guess, or maybe just WEIRD would be more the correct definition. : )

What a great quality to have Judge!

Sometimes I think that I'm the only Aspie who doesn't play video games!

I had to ground myself from playing video games with achievements. When I get involved in a game, I have to get EVERY achievement, no matter how much time it takes, even if it’s not fun and I hate to do it. So now, if I see a game has achievements, I don’t even start it.

Same with TV shows, hobbies, collections, book series’. If I start, I have to finish it ALL. So I have to be very careful what I start.

I fold straws to make geometric shapes.

I have a mathematical system, most of it made up by me by expanding on a paper I read in 2009. It’s not compatible with regular algebra, but it calculates the ways a collection of variables can be set to meet certain criteria (the variable and criteria defined by whatever formula you’re “solving”). I’ve been working for 6 months to actually take it off paper and write a program to do the math for me. I don’t know if it will be useful, worth money, or even fast enough to do anything practical, and I won’t know until I finish the program. I’m literally the only person in the world who knows the system, because I made it up. When I’m bored, I solve simple formulas on paper in that system.
