What song are you listening to right now?

"Hallelujah!" from Hit the Deck, Nat Shilkret & the Victor Orchestra, 1927.
Apparently it was from a pre-Code Hollywood musical, which I haven't seen yet. I found out about it when I got the record out of the dollar bin at Goodwill. Classic 1920s optimism, snap, has a banjo or mandolin in background providing "chop" and a sense of forward motion--but by George that is one ugly poster.

If you had seen
You'd understand
If you had seen
You'd break like me

If you had seen
All the things that I've seen
You'd scream like I screamed
I know
