They do definitely still make vinyls. This particular pressing was put out by Third Man Records, which is Jack White's own label based in Nashville. One of the things they do is put on shows and release 12" pressings of them...I was at a show they did that for. I suppose they also do other weird stuff, such as releasing Symphony of Science records. But yeah, you'd be surprised at a lot of the stuff that is released on vinyl...almost any new album that's put out today, you can get on vinyl.
