I don't know if anyone's read books from this series. I have not read the Burton one, but I have read the ones on David Lynch, David Cronenberg, and Woody Allen. All very different and they reflect the directors' personalities. The books are interviews going over all their films (or TV series). I'm sure the Burton one is pretty interesting.

I have not but now I have something to read thanks !
 
You bet! There might be a newer edition than the one I posted. Sometimes they update them with added chapters when the director makes more movies.
 
There is an oral history of Mars Attacks online, which is funny. I would link, except for some swear words.
