The Sunrise, Sunset & Dusk Thread.

A THREAD I CAN ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE CONTENT TO!

*ahem*

Okay yes, here's some of mine, boy do I have to comb through a lot of these... and yes I took these myself. With my bad phone camera.

The bird one was a particular favorite among those I showed it to.

These are all from the same island.
Amazing photos! You contributed to this thread indeed! Love it! Thx

Sunset, sunrise, or dusk? Here's all three. The road runs straight north.

We have lost even this twilight.
No one saw us this evening hand in hand
while the blue night dropped on the world.

I have seen from my window
the fiesta of sunset in the distant mountain tops.

Sometimes a piece of sun
burned like a coin in my hand.

I remembered you with my soul clenched
in that sadness of mine that you know.

Where were you then?
Who else was there?
Saying what?
Why will the whole of love come on me suddenly
when I am sad and feel you are far away?

The book fell that always closed at twilight
and my blue sweater rolled like a hurt dog at my feet.

Always, always you recede through the evenings
toward the twilight erasing statues.

This is astonishing

Reading this makes me feel like play music again!

Pictures like this are a true treasure - what a moment to capture and have saved to look at. I can’t stop looking at this photo. It is just too amazing for any sort of emoji reaction. I need to use my words to tell you all how in love I am with this bird. I want to be this bird so badly.

Thanks, Miss @Misery

I looked out the window and saw the sunset and thought it would make a positive thread. Glad you're enjoying it.

Apologies to @LadyS for unintentionally duplicating your thread!
No apologies necessary! I've been guilty of doing the same....Love these kinds of threads.. the more the merrier!

Yeah, that one was special.

Showing it back home got a very interesting response... it was when my birthday was just a couple of weeks away, and I got two presents related to it: One, a high quality framed professional printout of it, and two, one of those custom jigsaw puzzle things with that as the finished image. One from my father, and the other from my mother, and neither knew the other was doing that.

All this from another moment of luck for me... that bird just shot by and I sorta just waved the phone at it and kept hitting the button.

I remember sunrise & sunset experiences . . . . like camping out near a beach surrounding a bay on Espirito Santo Island and at sunrise coming awake to the constant splashing of boobies and pelicans diving to feed just offshore.

I know this thread pertains to Suns , but figured I would share a picture of the moon on my way to work . I like the reflection it gave back . And the red light from my vehicle added an amazing effect .
