And if I remember correctly, they are only found in Australia and were discovered by the scientific community fairly recently.These creatures are almost extinct now, but for a very long time they were the only living creatures on our planet and they gave us the oxygen rich air that we love so much. I saw them on a David Attenborough documentary, they've been known about since the 70s.
