Hi

I'm new to the site and have been officially diagnosed having aspergers 4 years ago I'm now 36 and trying to get a handle on things.

I always suspected something as im sure most of us has before being diagnosed but wasn't sure what. It was just a fluke that the doctor that was dealing with my conversion disorder also knew about aspergers and could get diagnosed.

I guessed I joined this forum to talk with others and get more of a understanding on what aspergers is like for everyone else and get support.

Hope you are all a friendly bunch

Regards

If I feel accepted, then anyone should feel accepted, because it is VERY RARE for me to feel a part of a group or forum.

I received my diagnosis little under 2 year's ago now.

In my opinion, this is the best forum to join.

Welcome! And that's some great serendipity given many doctors (especially those who graduated in the 1980s or earlier) still only see classical autism (i.e. ASD3) and may be prone to dismiss signs of Aspergers.

Hi and welcome! I find everyone I've met to be very friendly, hope you do too :)

Hi @djmrman I looked and it's been 2 years since I joined here. I would never have guessed that I would still be here tapping away after all this time. But I think that shows that it's a good forum, with good and interesting people.

You'll find variety here - Autism Spectrum Disorders, including those who identify as Aspie and more. Welcome.
