Do Aspies/Auties find themselves embarassed at praise or compliments?

A few things.
First off I am very aware of my mistakes and weaknesses. When something I've done gets a compliment I feel like saying "yeah, but I screwed up this bit."

The other thing is that I just don't like being noticed. I'd rather let things happen invisibly.

I have learned however is that you should allow people to show their gratitude and not muck that up for them. It makes them feel good. To deny them that is a bit selfish. So say Thankyou and smile and accept that little gift, and everyone goes away happier.
