Can a Touchscreen Device Do This?

I SWEAR.

When I am using my tablet's touchscreen keyboard, bless it's geeky little bits, it gets kind of freaky.

IT. REACTS. WHEN. I'M. NOT. TOUCHING. IT.

No, really.

When my appendage is hovering just above a key, BUT REALLY WITHOUT TOUCHING IT AT ALL, the screen reacts.

It's actually a little annoying. I'm not gonna lie. If I lift my hand just away from keys between characters, all of the keys inbetween are selected, and what I meant to type comes out impossibly garbled.

Best guesses so far:

- Body heat.
- Static-fingers.

WOAH.

Your body heat guess is exactly correct, the screen senses the warmth of your finger to detect the touch. If you ever try to use the thing in hot enough weather it will really go nuts.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!

I'm actually tempted to try that. I might have mercy, though. . .

Hahaha!

This is so much fun. I can scroll through pages without even touching the screen. It's like I have a magic finger! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. . .
