Play scales
play arpeggios
riff to song favs
record and write stems
🎶🎵🎼🎧🎹
I can do the others for a bit. but just a bit.

- I do like smelling the gums and staring out at the view.
- Stroking and talking to my cat
- running my fingers through grain

balm to my soul.

OK, I just have to ask, because I don’t play any instruments, but I do sing. For me, when I get really lost in a piece, I have the most massive, multi-sensory stim moments… when I can feel the sonic vibrations resonating on a cellular level, and feel different tones in different places in my body. I get this to a lesser extent listening to live music, and it pretty much dies out totally when listening to recorded music. Do you have any similar experience? Your special interest in music is what led me to ask you specifically, but I’d also be i terested in hearing from others.

Yes, I have similar things with stims. Fingers on the keys, fingers on strings, Using a bow on the cello or bass. it’s physical being part of the sound. I’m endlessly nerdy about sound, variation quality, grittiness, reverb, phasing ….. Listening to certain music is completely overwhelming. I’m going to get back into singing. The band i’m joining want me to sing and play. I used to be a pro chorister at age 10. It was a total stim singing the psalms. I’d never thought about it. Soooo yes vocal exercises it is. Thank you.

Toy pirates to send to the briny deep,

When the sun "comes out" from behind a cloud.
Hoarfrost in sunshine.
Puppies
Getting a laugh, especially spontaneously.
Getting a machine to work, which includes inventions, repairs, and programming.
Air at the perfect temperature and humidity for skin.
Warming up or cooling off to regain equilibrium.
Finding a lost item or a rare object you sought.
Smiles.
Hitting smooth pavement, especially on a bicycle.
A working partnership with a dog that does things you can't, and understands the whole situation.
Going out for things you want to do.
Getting home to familiar comforts.
Happy memories.
The light green of young leaves.
Finding wild berries.
Finding a simple, elegant solution to a problem.
Using a really sharp chisel.
Working on metal, and then seeing it vanish, replaced by reflections in a polished surface.
Enjoying mutual trust.
Holding doors, catching falling stuff, pushing cars out of snow, other small, timely favours.

I think this is a really good idea. I have though never seen any such an of amount of number like used in a book of a similar nature 5,000. It could go two ways. Someone wow that is a lot and someone else could think it was really good. That is for you to determine. You may though struggle to get that number. If you do I would suggest perhaps don't worry about it and even a lower number like 2,000 would be huge in today'sworld. May be don't close it and if more come up just keep it going. May be if it is live and like an ebook you could just keep on updating and ideas come later.

When these moments come they can a bit hard to recall later. This is my attempt now I am in this thread. What gives me some joy. I will only the last couple of years.
