Maybe you could go to the library. It's not the same as using a phone, but libraries do have internet.

I have made it. It is nice here and the people seem nice thus far. They have a nice bay window good for sitting in and it's mostly quiet.

So I did a neck ultrasound and I guess I do have Hashimoto's after all. I do feel a lot better since taking synthroid and I leave Sunday!

I have a low TSH, I think that's the polar opposite of Hashimoto's. I've only been treated for it by Naturopathic Doctors with herbs and supplements. It was pretty effective. How does the medication work or make you feel? I'm very curious.

@Yeshuasdaughter Well Synthroid is just the synthetic version of T4 (thyroid hormone) TSH is the hormone your brain puts out to tell your thyroid to make T4 but mine does not do a good job at that so I have high TSH. Since it's just a replacement of the hormone it's been good. No side effects so far and I have energy now!!

Tinnitus won't let me sleep. It's been super bad 24/7 this week. Then I can't sleep..then it gets worse. It's an awful cycle.

I'm not trying to drown the sound out. It's a high pitched thing, for years, unceasing. The tv music just gives a little something else to think about. Rather than that high pitch....which is not at all pleasant or fun to consider.

Tree is kinda right, she often is. It's hard to get used to other noises sometimes. A ticking clock, an electric fan, the bathroom exhaust fan, soft music in another room, the spooky sound of a barely cracked open window

They are a distraction from the internal noise. It doesnt work always or for everyone. Does anyone still use wind up clocks? Tick tock tick tock, it's very soothing. I used to have several in my quarters

The Muslims in the Middle East wear clothing that covers them from head to toe during their extreme summers. By law, women in Saudi Arabia wear a robe called "abaya" when in public, that covers their entire bodies, then they must wear a veil, so only their eyes are exposed. The point is that there are humans who always cover themselves completely in summer, so you can too.

Make sure your clothing is loose fitting and allows your skin to "breathe". Muslim men in the Middle East wear a robe called "dishdasha" that covers them yet is loose fitting. Seriously, research clothing styles of people like Middle Easterners who wear full body coverings in 120 F heat.

The best advice i can give you is just be YOU dear. if they are your real friends they will understand and accept your mistakes so try to let go of the fear of being misunderstood and just do you're best my young friend.
