    Traveling questions (guided tours?)

I would like to stay within the USA at least to start. I think I need to get a handle on basic travel before I start trying to understand things like immigration and customs. I like amusement parks, so I would like to go to more of those and I want to see more national parks so I can hike. I...

    Traveling questions (guided tours?)

I am in the USA, but that is really nice to know for UK residents. The parts of traveling I find hard is the planning (where we should go and when, where we should eat, arranging transport), the actual transporting (I cannot drive or navigate public transport independently), dealing with...

    Traveling questions (guided tours?)

I have been back from my post secondary transition program for about five months now. One of the things I miss is our annual trips. I never liked traveling at all; much too overwhelming. But during these trips - three in total - I only ever had two small meltdowns. And of course I had the staff...

Title: Beyond the Number: What IQ Often Misses

yes I know, it's been honestly quite the barrier in my life. I have found a couple people online (mostly via blogs) who have a similar scatter but it's hard to find people. it's incredibly difficult to describe what it feels like to be in my head. so I guess in that way IQ tests are quite...

    Help understanding my son better

hello! I read your post as well as some of your replies. I know medicaid does not allow for many options so when he does get access to therapy try to be in contact with his BCBA and emphasize that you want assent based treatment and you are looking to replace behaviors not extinguish them. my...

Title: Beyond the Number: What IQ Often Misses

IQ tests can tell us some things but not everything. I have a very wide IQ scatter with my highest score being 132 and my lowest 82. what does that say about the test? what does that say about me? I can tell you that (anecdotally) when walking through the world and talking to people I notice I...

What food hacks are you using to save money?

I have just stopped buying/ eating meat which does help things. tofu and beans are cheap. also I go to a chain of stores that are known for having lower prices. I truly dislike the energy/ambiance but the effect on my grocery bill makes it worth it. I am also a pretty good sales shopper.

Thoughts on grocery stores? (I have a grocery store special interest)

there is a save a lot a couple towns over from me and I have been curious (I like discount grocery stores) but alas I can't drive so I can only go where the bus goes. I like aldi but I often won't go out of my way to go there. the vibes are just slightly off like an alien was given a very...

Thoughts on grocery stores? (I have a grocery store special interest)

I have also considered overnight stocking due to that and also because I have awful insomnia at times and I end up naturally sleeping during the day anyway. I think it would be a bit tough on my body though due to some other issues. my love for grocery stores has instilled a love for cashiering...

Thoughts on grocery stores? (I have a grocery store special interest)

thank you for the pictures! they made me feel very happy. I have not been to a meijer since I was a child. once dominick's closed we started going to other stores because if I remember correctly the meijer was a bit out of the way but it was close to the dominick's so it made sense. now my...

grocery stores at night are very good. the parking lots are so empty and peaceful. just you and the streetlights. maybe you can go to parking lots at night and take some pictures? I take lots of pictures of interesting products I find at grocery stores.

    POTS and Orthostatic Hypotension

hello! I also have the trifecta (pots, asd, eds) mine started when I was 14 and I still am disabled by it (most days I can only stand upright and still for about 5 minutes before I need to sit down. 10 minutes on a good day) but a low dose beta blocker and electrolytes help a lot. I can't stand...

Thoughts on grocery stores? (I have a grocery store special interest)

I really want to go to a grocery outlet but there aren't any near me sadly. it's on my grocery store bucket list along with a restaurant supply store and Jungle Jims in OH.
