Talking About Trains...

Couple of recent additions to the collection. Spotted by a friend of Farcebook.

As a child I remember going past the old station site where a camping coach still stood. The station site is now a huge industrial estate and Sainsburys now occupies the coal yard site.

Lionheart made before Dapol took them over I think.

Yes. Dapol own them. (I assumed Bachmann own them but then realized it was Dapol where I had seen them on their website. Is getting confusing with so many companies taking over other companies. I was thinking of just one past product (Sprat & Winke couplings) which have been taken over twice, once by Model Signal Engineering, who in turn were taken over by Wizard Models... And I am not sure if they may have been taken over again? Can't remember! Brian Sheriff backscenes are another one taken over a couple of times I believe...)

Is all going on in the hobby at the moment. Hornby have recently sold off Scalextric in order to try and rid themselves of debt. (Hope they can clear their debts!) Much new competition on the market in recent years due o the price raising of the two main manufacturers having opened the door to new competition... Is all happening!
