Sneak Attack!

Hi all :)

I was curious to know whether this is an Aspie thing at all, or just something kids in general do.

When I was a kid, I LOVED sneaking up to people (loved ones, not strangers), creeping ever so quietly, and then surprising them. I used to do it to my mum all the time; but she loved it.

I know a few Aspies who are the same. Did you ever do this?

I think it's just a general kid thing. I can only speak for myself, of course, but I never did any "sneak attacks" as a child.

I can't remember doing that.. but then again I don't remember much of my childhood anyway. I would imagine that sneaking is just a general kids thing. But on the other hand I think sneack attack is ,in a way, a very one-sided way of social interaction. The attacking party is 100% in control of the situation. Maybe that can be seen as an aspieish thing?

I also would imagine that being sneacked at is something that an aspie would find very hard to tolerate when aimed at him/her.:D Physical contact without warning! But I'm just speaking from my part.

I had a fascination with the idea, but I can't remember actually doing such a thing.
Actually, I never thought about surprising anyone, it was more the ability to sneak without being seen heard or noticed. So I wanted to do that part, to be invisible, unnotieced, WOuldn't have wanted to break that by surprising the person.

I never did this. Definitely a childish thing in "normal" society. I would not do this with someone unless you know you are tight with them and know that they wouldn't mind it. If someone you're not tight with does something like this to you, get very suspicious and maybe even keep your distance.
