Sure it comes from being scared of rejection, because the few times I have taken the initiative, it has come to nothing and so, I really hesitate and thus, miss out a lot.
If anyone on here had this problem, how did they overcome it?
I am GREAT with that, but the follow up? OMGOSH! I get so filled with shame that I might as well stop breathing.
Like that letter I wrote to the gym. No trouble doing that, but NOW? Have not even gone back. DId onnce and cried in the sauna for a long time.

I can't help but notice that you keep mentioning the letter. This is classic Aspie/Auti behavior. It looks like I am in the right place.
