I put a pinch of salt in when I am sweetening plain yogurt, to cut that awful acid taste. I never thought to do that with coffee!I use a wee bit of salt too. : )

Explain what New York Style is please?New York style for me, light and sweet. But it has to be a good quality bean.
I use a French Press also. Stirring with a spoon briefly after pouring in the water seems to take the flavor up a notch.

I am looking for new coffee recipes to snazz up my cuppa in the morning. All I own is a french press for brewing, and would like to try new things.
Yikes! I don't think that would wake me up in the morning. I'd be sleeping until tomorrow!I have heard a rumour of Finnish coffee.
Use a white cup/mug
Fill with coffee till you can't see the bottom
Add vodka till you can see the bottom
Finish off with coffee in the space available
Enjoy (responsibly)
