Hi, Maybe this is a good place to start.

Welcome to the forum, your English is very good, and we share some interests..... being creative and enjoying nature, feeling 'on the outside' can be a common theme for individuals that experience life differently i hope you enjoy your time here.
Wow!!! Is amazing to find people with shared interests and hobbies. I hope we could talk deeper about art and wild exploration sometime!! What are your main hobbies??

Firstly, Im glad to meet people like you here. You seem to be a really wise person and having your positive feedback about my lenguage related level, lets me relax a lot. At least Im not going into a wrong path.
About getting a diagnosed, I have been told by specialist to show many asperger features since an early age. But I think that never have got an official diagnosis. I have to meditate such alternative, but at this point point of my life recognizing myself can be a first step to analize my choices in a better way.
Thank you!!

Not sure about wise part, but certainly thank you for the compliment.

When I saw the expert in autism, he asked me about my childhood and then asked my husband about me as an adult. Because my memory is pretty clear on childhood poinent parts, he rapidly wrote, so I guessed in his mind he was thinking: ahah, a point towards the spectrum.

Then on a last visit with him, he got me to do a questionaire, which I thought was weird, since the first time around, he said that to him, it was clear cut that I am on the spectrum.

The questionaire came out that I tip the scales between moderate to severe, so grade 2.

Welcome! Wandering in the outdoors is a great activity - both to see the sights, to recharge, and to get away from things (or to delve into deep thoughts)
Totally true!!! Of course my relatives and loved one sometimes concerns about the small dangers of hiking in the hills alone, but as you said, sometimes introspection can´t be achieved among large social groups.

Hi and welcome, yes I like to walk in nature, in the countryside or at the coast. I hope you enjoy it here.

:herb::leafwind::fallenleaf::mapleleaf::seedling::cat:
Beach walking is a huge experience!! I have been since childhood "that guy" that went to beach trips in long pants and tennis because just wanted to walk the shore and climb the small rocks. I had the luck of following my family in a vacation to far northern Peru and walked 3 or 4 hours listening music and watching sea turtles. Ialso used to lost myself scalating the dunes (althought walking up while stepping in the sand can be frustrating, lots of effort to advance just a bit)

Welcome Cosmic Ape.
I found your intro very nice and can relate to things in common.
Nature, sci-fi, fantasy, physics and creative with clay.
Clay feels so soothing and so does nature.

When I was younger and lived where there was a lot of woods, I liked creating little magical places
there, too.
Fairy Rings, following creeks with the feeling something was waiting just around the next bend
and listening to the sounds of it all. I became quite profecient at finding fossils, arrowheads
and special stones.

Hope you enjoy time with us here also.

Wow!! Your story sounds awesome!!! That should bean amazinig place to grow up!! Fossils are fascinating, being younger I wanted to be an archeologist overall. A you talk about forest and stone arrowheads I guess that you are talking about northern USA or Canada?? But maybe Im totally wrong.
Studing about the Mayas and Aztecs I got interested in lithic carving, but lacked the tools and skills to have significant success. But I got some obsidiane (volcanic and very sharped black stone) from a relative.

Im happy thateven even when life doesn´t stop to be hard, you got some of that clarity that all we know and deserve to create an identity, more linked to our will, desires and projects.

Thank you!! What is your profile picture?? Something like an industrial or extractive area??

I toke that picture at the Idaho Nuclear Engineering Laboratory. It was built in the mid-fifties as a experiment. That is when they were just starting with nuclear submarines that could stay at sea for extended periods of time. The Air Force wanted a plane that could stay in the air for extended periods of time. Believe it or not, that is a nuclear powered jet aircraft engine. There are airplanes big enough to carry that, but by the time they added enough lead to protect the crew, it would be way to heavy to fly. Your grandparents tax dollars at work.

Hello everyone, Im a young adult and have shown many features related to the spectrum since an early age, nevertheless I would be normally regarded as functional. I managed to graduate from a decent college in my country, but my traits has carried me backwards to insert in society after studies.

Some little tips about myself: Im pretty much into the stereotype of a geek guy. I usually like to read about History, Fantasy and Sci Fi literature. Also enjoy sculpting with red clay/mud or epoxi stuff, beside with collecting random Warhammer Fantasy/AoS/40k miniatures (althought I don´t paint a lot).

Despite being a bit overwight, I enjoy outdoor activities, despite being many times too lazy for real exercice or gym. But I love walking hills and mountains for hours, creating boundaries with nature. Being overimaginative, I enjoy picturing small worlds in my head while walking that solitary places.

I have to confess tht Im not a native english speaker, being my mother tongue, but rather spanish. I ask you for forgiveness and kindness with my poor grammar and vocabulary.

EDIT 21/10/2020:
People, I apologize for taking soo many hours for giving you a proper reply. I felt overall your warm welcome and genuine interest in what I said. I tried to give all you a response that that reflected my gratitude.
I have to leave home for some hours (safely of course). But will explore the forums when being back.
Hello and welcome.
I envy you. I rejected my reading talent and gave it up, I was ashamed at being a geek and tried to be an in-girl who was good at sport, even though I am terrible at it.

Are you diagnosed? If not would you like to be?

You sound artistic, I was ashamed of my artistic talent and gave it up in favour of fitting in, only to resurrect it again in my 30's to copy of an artistic ex and found I had a photo-realistic talent.

I wonder if you are a life path number 11 in numerology you sound spiritual.

Mention not any faults in grammar, you are bilingual more than me.

You do not need to be full of apologies, I think you will love it here.

That was a big new chuck of history for me!! Guess that even if the weight problem could be fixed, wouldn't such ammount of lead don't damage the health of crew??? Or an extra coat of iron would isolate that lead from human contact??
Funnily enough, that idea of nuclear driven airvehicles is described on 2 amazing sci fi novels: Brave New World (Aldous Huxley) and "Fundation" (Isaac Asimov).

Your answer is very meaningfull to me, thanks a lot for your kind and cool words.

Please dont feel ashamed or put blame on yourself, every path that someone try leave positive lessons and create perspectives. You do move in life through multiple context and experiences. Then when you face the project that really calls you, you have a background tools to take adventage of the chance.

I would love to see your art and creations, would be a total honour ;) .

Im not oficially diagnosed yet. I would have to analize the chance.

Cheers!!!!!

@Cosmic Ape
The place I speak of was the Ozark mountains in Missouri, USA.

You would very much enjoy the collection of all types of stones, crystals, fossils I have.
I have a piece of Obsidian so large and heavy I can barely pick it up.
I have a collection of Meteorites too.
Do you like them? To hold a piece of the building blocks of the solar system in my hands
I find awesome.

Welcome Cosmic Ape, hoping all goes wells. See you on your return. a lot of great people here. i'm sure you will love it.

I enjoy long bike rides in the country-side, exploring modern art and gardening.

I can´t emphasize enough my agreement with you. Which geographical kind of places do you frequently hike more??? Dry or arid areas?? Deep forest?? Mountains??
All the above. I'm in Sothern California Within an hour and a half there's ocean, desert, tall timber, oak savanna, chaparral, and winter skiing. I'm within 30 minutes of the Pacific Crest Trail. Three different wilderness areas. Hundreds of thousands of acres of burned forest. Oh, and a major metropolis with 8 million people.
