Eight-year-old Stephen Walker?s miniature Jack Russell, named Tina, has been described as his ?soulmate? by Stephen?s dad, also called Stephen.

The brown and white puppy dog was let out from the back of Mr Walker?s Windsor Road home, in Seaham, for a morning walk at the weekend.

But after playing with other dogs she then went missing.

Mr Walker, 35, who believes Tina may have been snatched, said: ?She runs out the back and plays with the other dogs but when we went out she wasn?t there.

?Stephen is really, really upset.

?He keeps crying for Tina to come home.

?He only got her when she was five or six weeks old and she?s his little soulmate.?

Mr Walker has now informed the police and the local authority as well as kennels in the area to alert them in case Tina shows up.
?We just hope she does come back because Stephen is so upset about it,? added Mr Walker.

?He?s not eating or sleeping it?s affected him that badly.?

Six-month old Tina went missing between 10am and 11am on Sunday.
