Empathy and Autism

It may vary greatly among us? :

I'm curious of the distribution of the responses here. Are the majority of us ASD-1, with some ASD-2? Are there some here that are ASD-3 (severe communication issues)?
How do ASD-2 and 3 fare with empathic traits? Do they vary greatly from ASD-1? Or are they similar to ASD-1 in empathy, and the huge difference is in communication ability?

I haven't spent time in close quarters with other autistic people, so I lack this knowledge.
