Do you agree that Technology is going too far?

Sheriff gives AI warning after a landlord uses fake law defence, here is the story

Question:

Is a "Sovereign Citizen" legally legitimate ?

Answer:

"No, sovereign citizens are not considered legally legitimate as their beliefs and claims lack recognition and support from the legal system. They often face legal consequences for their actions, which include rejecting government authority and filing fraudulent documents."

It does make me wonder about those who so easily buy into what I call "legal folklore".

We get our fair share of those sorts of idiots here too. If they could legitimately claim sovereign rights to their property then they'd need an internationally recognised passport and a visa to go and do their weekly shopping.

I think it would be funny to see the government crack down on them here, if arrested as illegal immigrants they could get shipped out to one of our offshore immigration detention centres. :)
