Yes, I jump around a lot, mid-stream. Often I’ll find something that holds me and finish it. I’ve finished three of those listed in my last entry here (in February) and read over 20 more in between. I picked up another Jo Nesbo, two by John le Carré, one by David Mitchell and something by Graeme Simsion while waiting for my car to be repaired a month ago. About $2 each, op-shopping - how could I resist?
 
Tiamat's Wrath by James S.A. Corey, book 8 of 9 of The Expanse series. 170 pages in so far and it's really well done. While it's a shame the TV series got cancelled after 6 seasons, roughly in line with the first six boos, it's probably for the best because I can't see how they would have pulled off the events of the later books. And timelines.
 
Just finished reading "Unbuild Walls" by Silky Shah. Fantastic book chronologizing the history of immigration and culture.

Currently reading "We Loved It All: A Memory of Life" by Lydia Millet.

I always prefer hardback books, but will tolerate a paper back is hardback is not available.

I'm a sucker for hardback and as long as it's not double the price of the paperback I usually go that route.

I'm about halfway through Autistic Adults - Exploring the forgotten end of the spectrum.

It's very well written so far by a Canadian journalist on the spectrum looking at Autism in adults and how the focus largely, in terms of research, has been centered around children. It looks at the issues facing adults. While it's an informative read and does have some tips and coping strategies for Adult Autistics the books main goal is in fostering understanding of Autistic Adults among Neurotypicals.

Being Canadian it's refreshing to be reading something where the references to places, and the ways in which systems work is familiar.

Also I commend the author for both the detail of the notes section and index. Always a good sign for any book.
