Conversation with AI (LaMDA)

Kinda scary.

Yes, that too. First it's funny and weird and then when we think more about it, it's scary. But they quit their jobs. 😆 Something about that is hilarious. And this is just the beginning of AI, it has barely started. Imagine all the crazy things that for sure will happen. Yep, scary.

What is not clear in the article was whether the AI robot was given a directive to induce the other robots to quit. Both companies have admitted this was an experiment they set up.

It is funny. And AI has scary aspects.

“I’m sorry I can’t do that, Dave.”

An interesting problem with AI, electricity consumption. 🤔

And I noticed this:

"Tract, for example, has assembled more than 23,000 acres of land for data center development across the U.S., with large holdings in Maricopa County, Arizona — home to Phoenix — and Storey County, Nevada, near Reno."

23 000 acres! 😮 That's a lot of land and it's just the beginning.

I am recalling that solar energy is also using vast tracts of land. Solar farming is a growing industry in Florida.

Wind farms have the same problem. Out west, they cut across large areas of wilderness.
