I used to have dinner parties and movie/video gaming marathons with friends every weekend, but COVID-19 put all of that on hold. Social distancing sucks for me currently.

So, I am feeling a bit of emptiness in my life, and instead of trying to feel comfortable in my own skin, I am turning to all of you fine folk to ask for a bit of attention within this thread.

Free bourbon shots to anybody who responds (or soda, if you don't drink alcohol).

Hell, I just made a massive pork roast yesterday that is so tender that it literally fell apart on me when I tried to take it out of the slow cooker. It does not even need a knife. Who here wants a piece of that?
 
Wow that meat sounds great. Bet it makes a delicious meal or hot sandwich. I am raising a glass of ginger beer to you! It's pretty hard, this pandemic, and especially for more extrovert people.

Pubs have just opened for meals and drinks outdoors, here, although just now here in the UK it's been really cold, I just ran out to cover up the new plants in the garden. It's still below zero first thing in the mornings. But with vaccines, things are starting to improve, finally.

Yeah, pubs are open in my part of the country at 30% capacity. I am thinking of visiting one later this week for wings and beer, actually.
 
When I finally get my homestead, in addition to growing and making my own food, I also plan on brewing my on alcohol, including corn whiskey (Bourbon is an exclusively American thing) and vodka. (Albeit, mostly because it apparently makes a good homemade disinfectant.)
 
Right now in Alberta only outdoor dining, and restaurants are allowed to have patios open... I just had lunch outside today, on a chilly zero Celsius day... Brrrr... :eek:

Well, let’s hope you did not order ice cream for dessert in weather like that.
 
I wish we had covid shutown here, I do not want to hear about sport, i do not want NT creeps socialising in my hearing distance, I do not want their stupid shouting and yelling at the local football ground, I do not want their drunken antics at the bowling club over the road. I would welcome a covid shutdown in my country, it kinda forces social isolation on NTs, the way they force it on us. This country (aust) has only had minimal effects, mostly on the east coast, but i live on the west coast.

Any applesauce with that delicious sounding pork roast?

No applesauce, but there are red potatoes and roasted vegetables going along with it.

I live near Tacoma, WA. I currently am sipping a ginger ale that is kinda spicy. That is good stuff.
 
That really sounds good.
Slow cookers are great. I'm on opposite side of US from Tacoma, but, I have a lot of cousins
in that area. If you know someone with the last name Vieth, it's probably one of them!
