  • How can I make the process of meeting a potential girlfriend quicker?

Are you interested in long-distance relationships that primarily happens over email messages? I don’t really know much about this, but I’ve heard a lot of people talk about success in that way. Especially if you find the culture of your immediate surroundings difficult to engage with.

Self-esteem, sir. I keep repeating that people can see your low self-esteem from a distance, and I aint making that up or exaggerating. It pushes people away, seriously. Like I've also said: Been there, experienced that. So it's coming from experience.

After all, you can physically meet all the people you want, but if you've got that acting as a repelling force, then those meetings wont amount to much at all. That's the effect it has.
Living Colour’s Stain isn’t just the band’s best album but one of the best of the 90’s. It’s beautifully angry and the riffs are serpentine.
I want to get back into drawing but my wrist pains and my tendency to make mistakes discourage me.

I learnt drawing by making mistakes and correcting them. Thats why pencils and rubbers are used to learn. Its like walking before of running and running before roller blading. Skills must be learned and then perfected by repetition and mistakes.

Noticing a mistake in drawing is an opportunity to improve.

A friend gave me grief about getting the model. Doesn’t he get that I have my own life and he’s not my father?

Markness, there's no reason for him to take it so terribly seriously--it's scale models from fantasy series and they should be fun. I'm just impressed they set you up with some decent store credit.

@Luca Exactly! The hobby doesn’t harm anyone. He also buys the same kind of models!

I call these types busy bodies. I have some who tell me who to date, what to eat, what to buy. Just understand people like to micromanage you.
I managed to get this with in-store credit!

Well, now I've ended up in a rabbit hole reading about the lore with these things. Absolutely intense worldbuilding went into that stuff. I'm sure the model will turn out great when you build it; you're very good at these kits.
Thanks for sharing something that was this cool. Today sucked, so it's nice seeing something cool.
I don’t want to look up a certain website, especially after how it got presented to me. It was like a jab in the stomach.
Call Girl in Another World is a fun manga to read. It’s naughty but also sweet and light hearted.

If you must prove yourself to someone, how about proving your supporters right?
    Misery

Yeah, what @Rodafina says is the key here. Dude, you need to stop caring so much about what bullies and jerks say/think about you. They... dont... matter. What you do, for yourself, is what matters.
    Misery

And really, it doesnt matter just how astonishingly successful you might get overall, you will STILL have people that just dont like you for who knows what reason. Being a success at stuff doesnt make you immune to that. Important to keep in mind, I think.

I believe his mother is overbearing, and @Markness is learning to have boundaries and request his mom respect him. I already know she is a MD. But sometimes you don't want your mom in all of your biz, especially if you are asserting your independence which is critical part of growing up. I didn't accomplish freeing myself from what my parents thought until l was 25.

I always say hello to animals when I see them. Usually I tell them thank you, too. Little creatures brighten my day.

@Rodafina I waved and said “Hi!” to it. It then dove into the water.

A large red eared slider, you say? Any chance they were of the teenaged mutant ninja variety?
(The TMNTs were red eared sliders)

Consider the math, Mark. That we are a 1.8% mathematical minority to the CDC.

If that's accurate, there's no reason for the other 98.2% to get who and what we are. Even if a friend or a blood relative. That "the math doesn't take prisoners".

Think that is normal to wonder if friends will tire of you. I just recently worried that l was bothering someone too much, but once she gets thru her situation, then l feel better. I tend to worry more about people's emotional health if they are struggling. I think l truly am an emotional nurse. Lol or empath which is the more common term. Try thinking about people differently,

But they do seem to count to some people. Like us.
I’ve been accused of viewing people as NPCs when that isn’t the case at all.
    tree

Oh....I was thinking of NPCs in the sense of them being algorithms with no minds and no feelings.
Not as ciphers programmed to assist the main player when the player says the activating phrases.

@tree It doesn’t sound positive either way.

    @Markness

Sounds like whoever said that was very immersed in game mentality.
And, no, saying that someone regards other people as NPCs isn't a
positive remark. It implies believing the individual doesn't relate to
other people as actual living beings.
