    Anybody want to have an early morning cup of coffee? I have this lovely dark roast I brew for myself every day.

    I woke up early too. The french press was in the fridge, so I had a tall glass of iced coffee.

    Do you have a safeway club card? If you accrue a certain amount of points, you get free groceries. Just the other day, I got a free bag of Lavazza blond roast coffee. It tastes like it's from a fancy coffee shop. Never had at-home coffee like it.

    I am trying to cut down though. It's an addiction.

    I just finished off a tin of white tea that I had received as a gift. Oh that was fancy. It was full leaf, unroasted, made with only the spring buds of the tea bush. So the tea leaves were full size little velvety catkins, like the ones that grow on willow trees in spring. The tea it makes is clear rather than brownish.

    That was fun to brew. And they feel nice in the fingers too.

    Oh yeah, hot wings. Plus any kind of chicken involving the skin that's greasy and fried. I can eat "chicken crispers" without the skins but not any freshly fried. Basically much of anything with animal fat and grease will kill me. Haven't had steak in decades, except for stuff like a steak burrito with tiny diced pieces of steak.

    Even Swanson canned chicken (with its own oil) can kill me. Go figure...

    Cities in general have really gotten bad. In San Francisco thieves will just go to parked cars and smash out the windows for access then root around for stuff to take. If a car has no smashed windows, it is fair game and the window gets smashed. People have to leave their windows down and tailgates open.

    It even happens in parking garages! Drug addicted homeless everywhere robbing people for drug money. Organized gangs will swarm stores and strip them bare, then resell everything online or on street corners. In some cities they have to lock up pretty much everything. Then people simply shop online-from the gangs.

    I cringe when I remember being forced by my parents to hug my abusers and pretend I had no issue with them. I cringe when I remember my mother demanding I hugged her after she blatantly gaslighted me. I need to be my own man today.

    I have some awesome local friends. They can’t hang with me as often as I would like them to, but I have heard many nt adults tell me that I have more of a social life than what is usual for an adult my age in this country.
