word or phrase for putting something out to an entire space/community to ask

I am trying to think of a word or phrase that means that "One can put/communicate something in the general space" or something like this.
I am thinking a word like "ethera" maybe? Thoughts?

A great place to ask this is English Language & Usage Stack Exchange.

I prefer "put it out in the ether" for any online content.

I asked CoPilot and it's answers were uninspiring: publish, share, post, broadcast, release.

I then asked Copilot for more picturesque or poetic terms and it came up with unleash, which I think is fun: "I wrote a blog. I shall now unleash it upon the world!"

I used ChatGPT.

"ether" (the invisible medium once thought to fill space)

out there in the ether

The slang phrase I wanted to think of was "putting it out there in the ether" which doesn't seem to be easily Googled surprisingly.

Thank you all.

The only thing I know as ether is starting fluid. I’ve never heard anyone use the word any other way. But maybe that’s just me.

"Ether" is an old word for the imaginary substance that fills empty space.

It's more properly used technically to mean "the fumes of flammable organic chemicals" (starting fluid).

Poetically, it means "space" (like outer space).

In modern slang usage it means "where invisible electronic communications thingies happen."

:)

...and go check their Roget's Thesaurus.
I once bought a lower quality thesaurus.
Not only was it terrible, it was... terrible!
