What Are You Making For The Holiday Feast?

We are going to have roast beef, carrots and potatoes cooked all day in the crock pot. Later in the evening, we will have pie and ice cream. Our oldest son is alone this year, so he is coming over for the evening.

We got a extra bonus earlier today. Our middle son's daughter had her first baby today. This is our granddaughters first baby (boy), our sons first grandchild and our fourth great grandchild. How's that for a good Christmas?
Wow! That's incredible! Mazel Tov!

Marinating for tomorrow. My MIL makes this for Christmas every year and one of my fav side dish.

The official Christmas dinner is tomorrow around one p.m. I think tonight is just something lazy, like quesadillas or something.

My Mama: Ham and Scalloped Potatoes
Ex Mother In Law: Green Bean Casserole, Pie, and fancy French wine (she's French!)
Me: Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits, Beef Stew, and Raspberry tarts. Beverages: French-pressed Coffee, an assortment of teas, apple juice, and orange juice.

Even though she's seventeen, we still "wait for Santa" just for fun. So she'll leave out cookies and milk and write a letter to "Santa". (I bought Danish butter cookies just because. Yummy!)

In our house the tradition is that all the presents from Santa appear in her stocking, and all the presents from me appear under the tree. Don't know why. It's just always happened that way.

Merry Christmas Eve Everybody!!

Tonight's feast, random cheese and meat sampling, it is rather rich, just once a year... Spent $50 at the grocery store

@clg114: Cool to hear somebody else is having beef for Christmas! Definitely a nontraditional feast for today. My roast is currently defrosting on the kitchen counter and will be tossed in the oven around 10 or 11 am.
