Weird pets?

Does anyone have a strange pet?

Yeah. Two geese, an ever-changing amount of pigeons, and a (not strange) dog. We also have 8 chickens, two rabbits, two cats, and a budgerigar. The amount, in and of itself, is a little unusual. I am currently campaigning for an emu, a snake, and/or a hedgehog. None of which I am very likely to get. Although, the others I once believed to be highly improbable as well...

Well, he's not exotic if that's what you mean, but my dog can act pretty weird sometimes

I used to keep Axolotl when young, then I used to keep rats, I used to do homework with a rat on my shoulder. I've kept pythons now for over a decade. I have kept a range of birds from finches, doves to small parrots. I had a hand-raised olive ring-neck parrot for a while. I was given a Australian tarantula and had the sweetest scorpion (Sebastian) for years.

This thread caught my attention because I love what people call weird pets. Currently I have an enclosed pool that is home to 11 tree frogs. They all have names, are tame and identifiable. Yes, I talk to them and they have learned the flashlight means dinner! I hand feed them, keep fresh bowls of water which they enjoy immensely to bathe in. I want to add either a veiled chameleon or iguana, a turtle and large praying mantis. Perfect habitat as it serves as a greenhouse as well. Love snakes, (had a boa once), but don't think that will happen. My caged pool is a jungle! Roar.

Just my old dog now.. But had ferrets. Rabbit..goldfinchs and canarys.. Hedehogs and robins live in my garden throughout the year so i feed them and class them as my pets.....!

I don't have a weird one, but my brother has an online buddy that owns a pet groundhog. When they found it, the groundhog was old enough to climb out of the burrow, but not old enough to know how to defend itself. My brother said his friend has had it for about ten years now. I've seen a couple pictures of it, it's pretty cute!

I've added a super worm and darkling beetle farm to the mix.
I keep two of the beetles in a glass vase by the phone on the table where I eat.
They wake up and start eating when I sit down to eat.
Two beetles for dining buddies... pretty pathetic.

Ooh, what a good question! Meet my temporary squiggly wiggly hairy and baldy pets!

Saved 1 bee, this first one died. They flied in due to storm, I almost stepped on the 2nd, and it flew a bit up in the air warning me >..< as I lowered to check it out, but its wings were too wet to be able to fly, so it just rised a bit up then fell back down on its feet. Was so cute!

The 1st got bit by a spider in the corner of my window [which i later fed to crabby], i saved the bee and fed it but it didn't last the night. :c It climbed on a piece of cardboard paper [you see in the img] as it was bent in the air, that smelled like biscuits, it was from a biscuit pack. Bee climbed on top and held onto it with front legs and gifted me her leg pollen sacks, it pushed her back legs together til the balls fell, the sound was nice, I was so honored, I ate them. They were nice. RIP dear bee.

The spider walked like a crab and became a ball as it pulled its legs together, it looked like dirt on the floor then i noticed it moved as I walked back.

The worm is great at making earth aired so plants get water, when it rains. Its funny, i couldnt tell which one was its face, 'cept from the way it moves, it has a weird thing that seems like a wiggly wire inside itself, it prolly uses it to move as it pulls itself together and forward.

The surviving bee n sumthin i found on salad.

This bee at 8 in the morning started fying in the makeshift terrarium, i heard its buzz and wings on the plastic, it was ready to go, i googled temperatures and waited til 9 am, so a best temperature would be for it. It was a great release day, i was happy it was sunny, it usually isnt after storms and the longest the bee stays in captivity the weakest it grows. I was glad i could release her so soon and that she had rested over night and was still energetic.

By far the stinkiest and most aggressive one of all. Very dangerous! It tried to bite my finger if I'd approach. Rise in the air very threatening-like! And snap!

Also prolly not good to feed it pepper [for the smell], but i found it inside one. Its mess quotient is prolly 200 poop balls per minute, best kept outside.

This lil guy couldnt fly, but it tried scaring me by putting his wings up together all cute-like! Hi parents were teaching him to fly, i saw them together on my balcony once. Seemed like a nice together family, cept for the naughty brother, which pooped on the table.

Are emu eggs pretty much as big as ostrich ones?
