Northern California (in fact, so far north it is Oregon, but that's beside the point)

Wow, that's tough. I suppose Sagebrush but only by a slight margin.

High desert or low desert?
 
High Desert, absolutely. Canyons with little creeks, and groves of Live Oak. Quail, Coyotes, Ponderosa Pine. Horse and Cattle ranchos. Adobe. Tin Roofs. Stopping on the highway to let a shepherd and his flock cross to higher pastures.

Rock Climbing or Hiking?
 
I don't know foreign cars very well, so I guess I'll pick Jaguar, because I know what they look like, and somewhat about their performance.
