Someone texted me to say Susan Boyle has been diagnosed with aspergers. This has been a great comfort to asperger societies and communities worldwide, given negative perceptions of us over the year. Initially it was believed Susan Boyle had brain damage caused by a difficult birth delivery and she did go through much of her life in Scotland thinking she had brain damage. She was also a loner with no boyfriend and had no other job apart from cleaning and spells unemployed.

P.S. I have a feeling the panel did know how good she was before this audition and they deliberately made her seem like an underdog, knowing the audience would be shocked.
 
Yes, I read about this the other day. I thought that was cool news. I also read somewhere recently that actress Daryl Hannah also revealed that she is an aspie too.
