Sister Takes Advantage of Me

Hello people. So I am having a problem with my sister. She takes my things without asking and when I tell her to stop, the little pest doesn't! Bear in mind this sister of mine is a twin. She also goes into my room without asking, and bangs on the door if it is locked or closed. When she gives up, she goes and tells our parents, forcing me to open the door. SHE'S SO FRUSTRATING! I need help as soon as I can get it. Thanks!

Why do your parents insist that you open your door? Why can't they tell your sister that she should respect your privacy? If what you say represents an accurate picture, I would say some boundaries need to be set and agreed upon by you, your sister, and your parents. What would happen if you reciprocated your sister's behavior? (assuming you don't now).

Have you explained your side to your parents? If they won't listen even after having it explained to them, and you cannot set and enforce boundaries, you'll have to learn how to hide your valuables. Or buy a lockbox. Or both. My brother was bullying me for years and mom and dad never listened to me then either. Insisted I was perpetuating the problem, starting arguments and the like. So I get it if you've told your parents and they won't listen.

My parents do talk about this problem to her, but the problem is she doesn't listen. She just rolls her eyes and says okay. That's the problem.
