It's summer here now, but it's snowing in the New South Wales alpine region. The snow won't last long though, on Christmas Day and Boxing Day we've got heatwaves forecast for most of the country. In other parts of the country we have out of control bushfires.

Sad to see one of Australias biggest actors leave us. He did an outstanding job, I still remember watching him on the silver screen in the late 1980s.

I think that movie was a lot bigger overseas than it was here, many Aussies found it a bit cringeworthy even though it was funny. Man or lizard, 90 years is a pretty fair innings and he had a good life.
He was never the most popular croc here, that prize goes to Brutus, probably one of the most photographed crocs in the world.
