Just to say I've got a diagnosis assessment coming up in the next 3 months. I've done a load of paperwork already with my psychologist which she handed into the assessment team. Is it a long assessment and what is the basic
Time of it.nervous about it all to be honest. I sort of feel i'm on the spectrum. I'm having a meltdown as i speak my babies crying. My wife's gone to supermarket.its hard real hard. Thanks for reading.

Hi Gaza

welcome to af.webp

Hi Gaza. I'm not sure all the testing is the same. Just try to hang in there. Calm down and take care of the baby. :) And remember, babies pick up on things very easily so when you get upset, the baby is going to feel it, too. 3 months is going to seem like an eternity, but you'll get there. Keep us posted on how you're doing. Lots of people here have been through what you're going through now and may be able to help you through it.

Hi @Gaza and welcome to the community :)

I see you're in the UK. Assessment can take different forms and can vary in length. Have you been given any details of how the assessment will be performed?

It might help in you let us know what region or health authority you're under. There's a lot of UK members here so there could be one/some may have first hand experience, plus there's a wealth of people with excellent Google-Fu skills here :)

I hope the best for you. I doubt they know what they are doing but you are in the right place. Welcome home.
