Hi there, I'm Adam.
I've come across this site in the past whilst researching, but never joined until now.

I've just had a couple of ASD assessments on the NHS and am being given an ADOS module assessment in the coming weeks.

My main issues are communication and awareness. I tend to get hyper-focused or detached. Very rarely in between.

Hi Adam,

That fits for me - hyperfocused or detached - and hardly ever productive :)

Also angry when I am disturbed from my (unproductive) hyperfocus!

Hey, thanks for all your welcomes and replies. Talk about detached, i completely forgot i had signed up to this forum.

Anyway, I've had the results from my ADOS today and have been officially diagnosed. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster to get here, now I'm looking forward to getting some support and being able to join some local social groups.
