List just one thing you did today

Received my lotus root ("Beautiful Dancer") and planted in one of my large water garden containers.

CAN NOT wait - lotus plants are awesome!

Watched as an antlion tried to pull a fly under in one of it's pit traps and proceeded to research antlions.

Ended my family ties to my neurotypical brother, after 69 years. Could no longer deal with his hostility and indifference regarding my autism. At this stage of my life I don't need the stress or bigotry.

I'm sorry to hear that. You were getting some great photos with it too.

I cleaned up the sticks & leaves, rolled out the carpets, and set up the furniture in the inside-outside* room.

* An inside-outside room is a place somewhere in the woods set up as if it were an inside room. The opposite is an outside-inside room.

These always look and sound so inviting. I’ve seen some too, set up in side yards or driveways. But I can’t imagine keeping them clean or reliably keeping out the rain and so on. I’d be interested in your version should you care to say more.

I purchased a new macro camera lens and 2 years of "drops and spills" protection this time. Buying the same lens twice stung a bit, but the joy it will bring will soothe the sting in the end. 🌈📷

Spent nearly two hours adding more streaming services (with ads) to Roku included in my cable tv package. Peacock turned out to be a nightmare to get it working properly through both my computer and Roku.

I suppose it's just business pragmatism for a cable provider to get in on the streaming market rather than continue to languish with diminishing interest in cable tv.

Ironically I watch almost nothing from my cable box now. Don't even have it turned on, as my cable provider allows all my cable tv channels to be accessed through Roku. Go figure.

I think an Android TV or associated TV box may have more apps to select. But a Roku device doesn't cost much, so it's still a popular choice.

I got to walk out in the rain to check the fence at the horse pasture. I love it when I can get out in the rain. Something about being out in the rain just makes me feel more alive. The horses had pooped in the barn multiple times so I got to stay a little longer. It is getting such that I often hope the barn needs cleaning so I have an excuse to be outside longer.😅

With cable (like OTA), they dictate the schedule. We dictate the schedule with streaming (and can pause for toilet breaks ;)).
