velociraptor, your beautiful photograph takes me back to the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, "The Ugly Duckling." Remember? I think that Andersen could have been talking, metaphorically, in his fairytale about NTs making fun of Aspies, calling us "ugly." But, of course, such name-calling is out of ignorance and out of a lack of understanding the diversity of human life. Through various but through similar methods, our baby "ugliness" gives way to an understanding of who we really and truly are. We are not ducks and we are not ugly. We grow, metaphorically, into beautiful, perfect for our species, adult swans. . . .

About an hour and twenty minutes. I live in Strathmore, Alberta. Google Beauvais Lake Provincial Park, Alberta.

This is the photo I took today. You can see the repair near the “top’ of the blue. It still needs work, but I am pleased with how well I did the color match. Below is a photo of the bow before the repair.

Your photographs remind me, WhitewaterWoman, of how we can "repair" ourselves after we've been through challenges that feel as if they're going to destroy us. Your excellent repair-job is a metaphor for how life's repairs can be fixed when we strive to make ourselves better than ever. Thanks for sharing this truth through your wonderful photography!

The wild guavas are ripening. They are not native but are self-seeding, originally spread by people who lived and worked in south Florida when they spit out the seeds of the guavas they ate for lunch. They are considered invasive in the Everglades, but the few on my property aren’t going anywhere. They are a tasty treat.

I don't know how to attach a photo, so I'm doing so in this manner. I took this "Winged Venus" statue in the Quito, Ecuador, Hotel Ángel.
